Breitling Chronomat GMT
The Breitling Chronomat GMT has a high recognition value
The Breitling Chronomat GMT is one of the classics in the Breitling model range. As a typical travel clock, it is one of the best-selling models from the traditional workshop in Grenchen, Switzerland. One of the reasons is the extremely high functionality of the travel chronometer. The timepiece also clearly scores points when it comes to recognition. It is its distinctive bezel with its four riders and the popular chronograph display that make it unmistakable.
Watch with tradition
The history of the Breitling Chronomat GMT goes back a long way. Back in the 1940s, the Breitling watch manufacturer created a sensational watch. In addition to the usual time display and a chronograph, this timepiece had a practical slide rule. It allowed various calculations to be carried out by simply turning the bezel. This hand-wound model was called the Chronomat. The word indicates the two functions of the memorable watch: chronograph and mathematics. Over the years, the original version also gave rise to the Breitling Chronomat GMT.
Watch for travelers on all continents
The Breitling Chronomat GMT has more than earned its reputation as a true travel chronograph. It impresses lovers of robust and characterful watches with its spacious case. Its diameter is an impressive 47 millimeters. Inside, the case houses a movement made entirely in Breitling's workshops, the Breitling in-house caliber B04. It is based on the legendary B 01 movement and expands it to include a second time zone, the famous GMT function. The Breitling Chronomat GMT was the company's first watch to be equipped with this revolutionary movement in 2011. Its power reserve is up to 70 hours. The second time zone system, in which a 24-hour scale prevents confusion between day and night, is set via the crown.
The watch manufacturer launched the Blacksteel series for the impressive Breitling Chronomat GMT model. This is a 1000-piece limited watch with a steel case coated with black, highly resistant carbon. The rotating bezel displays a third time zone with its 24-hour scale.
