Glashütte Original Sixties Chronograph

The Glashütte Original Sixties Chronograph is part of a collection in which the designers at the Glashütte manufactory took inspiration from the style of the sixties. The sixties produced many artists, architects and musicians who revolutionized and reinvented their art. In their honor, designers today still take inspiration from the classic shapes and creative features that changed the world in the sixties. The result is a beautiful retro collection that combines style elements from the sixties with modern design guidelines and creates contemporary works of art.

Modern technology in retro design

The two Glashütte Original Sixties Chronograph models consist of a case made of robust stainless steel. A rotary and two push buttons adorn the right side of the luxury watch. The case back in each case is made of sapphire glass, which allows a view into the interior of the watch. This allows you to get an impression of the complexity of the delicate movement by watching the tiny gears at work. The caliber 39-34 movement comes from Glashütte and is characterized by 51 bearing jewels and a power reserve of 40 hours. The swan-neck fine adjustment and the skeletonized rotor with a 21-carat gold rotor are just two of the technical details that can be found in this caliber.

Colour-complementary retro models

In terms of design, the Glashütte Original Sixties Chronograph offers a successful mix of retro design and modern elegance. The fine matte dial is either black with silver hands or silvery white with gold hands. The font of the Arabic numerals corresponds to the style of the sixties, although they are only present at twelve and six. All other numerals are only displayed by fine markings. Two simple but easily recognizable sub-dials are arranged to the left and right of the center. The strap for both models is made of black Louisiana alligator leather with a stainless steel pin buckle to match the case.
