Glashütte Original Sixties Panorama Date
The Glashütte Original Sixties Panorama Date wristwatch collection includes five beautiful timepieces that pay homage to the sixties. In the 1960s, musical styles, architecture and art developed in fascinating ways and the ideas from this period still shape and inspire us today. This is also what the designers at Glashütte felt when they defined the design features of the Sixties Panorama Date watches. The range of luxury watches is characterized by clear shapes, playful numerals and a touch of vintage charm.
A modern clockwork
The movement that beats in the chronometers of the Glashütte Original Sixties Panorama Date series impresses with a power reserve of around 40 hours. The automatic movement with its 39 jewels is a caliber 39-47. The tried and tested technology that comes into play inside includes the skeletonized rotor with a 21-carat gold oscillating weight, the three-quarter plate with striped finish typical of Glashütte watches and the swan-neck fine adjustment. All of these modern features bring verve and maximum precision to a timepiece that is retro on the outside and ultra-modern on the inside.
The sixties inspire
A typical feature of the luxury watches in the Glashütte Original Sixties Panorama Date series are the Arabic numerals, which are reminiscent of the design of the sixties in a particularly ornate manner. Only the three, six, nine and twelve are shown as digits. The remaining numbers are replaced by slim markings. These are black on the white dial and white on the black, or more precisely blue, dial, which ensures excellent contrast and good legibility. Subdials have been dispensed with in favor of clear, simple shapes. The generous date window is just below the middle. For the strap, the designers opted for black alligator leather from North America, which is attached to the case, which is made of either fine rose gold or sturdy stainless steel.
