IWC Big Pilot's Watch
The IWC Big Pilot's Watch collection is a tribute to the pilot's watches of the last century. This is also where the roots of the IWC manufacturer lie, which made watches primarily for pilots several generations ago and became famous for doing so. This collection takes up the legacy of pilot's watches and refreshes the design of the timepieces a little. The result is a great series of four very different wristwatches that have one thing in common: a classic pilot's design and masterful watchmaking, which is evident in the 51111 caliber and can compete with the greats of their time.
A large pilot's watch
The four models of the new IWC Big Pilot's Watch are reminiscent of pilot's watches from the past. The cases are made of 18-carat red gold, black ceramic or sturdy stainless steel and enclose the high-quality movement, protecting it from shocks. The additional soft iron inner cage protects the technical masterpiece from magnetic radiation. The 51111 caliber with 42 jewels is characterized by modern technology such as the spring-loaded rotor, the Pellaton blade winding system and a power reserve of a full seven days. The power reserve indicator at the three o'clock position ensures that you are never embarrassed about missing the winding of the movement. The date display is located at the six o'clock position.
First-class design for aviation fans and pilots
The robust case of the IWC Big Pilot's Watch is attached to a leather strap made of high-quality and robust calfskin in black or dark brown, both in the gold and stainless steel versions. Light rivets and seams decorate the leather straps and give them a pattern. The black ceramic model is a soft strap that is also made of leather, but stands out from the others thanks to its special structure and embossing. These high-quality and natural materials ensure a lightweight watch that is very comfortable to wear on the wrist.
