IWC Ingenieur Automatic

The IWC Ingenieur Automatic collection is a tribute to the art of engineering in the 20th century. Its design language is classic, sober and at the same time timelessly practical, just as engineering demands. This timelessly simple wristwatch impresses with its clear shapes, a dial that is reduced to the essentials and a harmonious choice of colors. The Ingenieur Automatic has a 40 mm diameter dial with classic three hands and an unobtrusive date window. The indices appear traditional yet modern, with the twelve o'clock marked twice.

Noble material, classically beautiful

When choosing the materials, the designers at the IWC manufactory focused on tried and tested materials. Two of the three models in the IWC Ingenieur Automatic collection are made of robust stainless steel. The cases with screw-down crowns are water-resistant up to 12 bar. One version combines a black dial with steel indices and a stainless steel bracelet, while a second version combines a silver-plated dial with a black alligator leather strap. A particularly elegant model is characterized by its 18-carat red gold case. The ardoise-colored dial and a shiny black alligator leather strap match this.

A tribute to engineering

The IWC Ingenieur Automatic wristwatches not only delight engineers and technology fans, but also lovers of classically beautiful shapes. The reduced dial and polished bezel are reminiscent of the 1950s, when new doors opened for engineers all over the world. But inside each Ingenieur Automatic beats a small masterpiece of engineering. The caliber 35111 is an automatic movement from IWC's think tank. With its 25 jewels, it drives the hour, minute, second and date displays for around 42 hours. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal means that all important information can be seen at a glance because nothing distracts from the essentials. This is precisely what makes this collection so charming.
