IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph

The IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph collection is inspired by the pioneering spirit of the great pilots of the 20th century. Among the five different models are two that were designed in reference to Antoine de Saint Exupéry and his legendary fairy tale Le Petit Prince. Saint Exupéry was a passionate aviator and became a legend among pilots. Another wristwatch in the Pilot's Watch range is inspired by the aerodynamic Spitfire jet, which was considered a pioneer in its field and was known above all for its new and innovative design. Throughout the collection, classic aviator shapes are combined with modern materials and the simple colors brown, black and blue.

A powerful robust caliber

The cases of the IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph collection are made of robust stainless steel. The screw-down crown and the sturdy sapphire crystal ensure water resistance of up to 6 bar. The innovative soft iron inner case provides the caliber with optimal protection against magnetic fields. The chronograph movement, caliber 79320, is also a robust piece of technology that is ideal for the conditions in a cockpit. Designed in such a way that it can even withstand a drop in cabin pressure, it drives the hours, minutes and seconds as well as the date display with the day of the week. The watch also has a stopwatch function with the option to add.

Noble material from steel to leather

In terms of design, the designers at IWC were inspired by the classic shapes of old pilot's watches. Arabic numerals, light on a dark background, ensure that all information is easy to read. The luminescent layer allows the watch to be read even in the dark. The IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph flows in flowing shapes from the case to the lugs, where a strap made of stainless steel or calfskin is attached. Depending on the variant, it is black calfskin or a brown variant with light stitching.
