IWC Pilot's Watch Mark XVIII

The IWC Pilot's Watch Mark XVIII is one of the innovative pilot's watches from the IWC manufactory in Schaffhausen. It combines many of the typical features of traditional pilot's watches of the 20th century, such as the classic Arabic numerals, which are clearly visible on the dial and are covered with luminescent layers. The propeller-shaped hands are also a tribute to the age of innovative aviation, when the dream of flying was still reserved for a select few. Many of the features have been further developed. For example, the Pilot's Watch Mark XVII has a soft iron inner case that shields it from magnetic fields, just like the first Mark 11, one of the legendary pilot's watches of its time.

A pilot's watch for all occasions

The front glass of the Pilot's Watch Mark XVIII can withstand even a sudden loss of pressure in the pilot's cabin. The IWC Pilot's Watch Mark XVIII is not only visually based on the pilot's watches of the 20th century, but is also suitable today as a precise measuring tool under cockpit conditions. The pilot's watch made of sturdy stainless steel or with a robust ceramic case is designed for high loads and will last a lifetime. The dials are black, white or anthracite. The Arabic numerals stand out in white or black, so that the contrast makes them perfectly legible.

Modern technology in retro design

The IWC Pilot's Watch Mark XVIII contains a movement that can do a lot more than the original that was in the Mark 11. At IWC, constant innovation and the development of new patents are the order of the day in order to keep the watches moving with the times. The 30110 caliber is a testament to the know-how of the IWC watchmakers. The automatic movement with 21 jewels and a power reserve of 42 hours operates the hour, second and minute displays, as well as the date window and the stopwatch function.
