IWC Portuguese Automatic
The IWC Portugieser Automatic collection is part of the successful Portugieser wristwatch concept, which has been around since the 1930s and has been one of the most popular classics from IWC ever since. There are six different models in the Portugieser Automatic range, which are characterized by exquisite materials and the typical design of the Portugieser series. Several stylistic features date back to the original from almost 80 years ago. This gives the timepieces a touch of vintage, but also class. The ergonomically shaped lugs, which hold comfortable straps made of fine leather, look elegant and timeless. This means that the watch is also ideal for slimmer wrists.
Advanced technology in vintage design
Every IWC Portugieser Automatic watch is powered by a movement of exquisite quality. The 52010 caliber is assembled by hand from a large number of tiny, delicate individual parts. A total of 31 jewels ensure maximum precision and stability. The automatic movement offers a power reserve of 168 hours, which corresponds to a whole week. A power reserve indicator at three o'clock tells you at a glance whether it is time to wind the movement again. The movement not only ensures the precise display of hours and minutes, but also drives the date display at six o'clock and the small seconds in the form of a sub-dial at nine o'clock. The first-class movement of the 52000 series incorporates technical refinements such as the Pellaton winding system with winding pawls, automatic wheel and ceramic rotor bearing.
Design in gold and stainless steel
Through the transparent case back of the IWC Portugieser Automatic you can see some of the modern technology that is incorporated into the watch. The different versions of the series differ in the choice of materials and colors. The cases are made of either robust stainless steel or 18-carat red gold. In combination with black, silver, blue and slate dials, the timepieces of the IWC Portugieser Automatic series look particularly classy.
