IWC Portuguese chronograph

The IWC Portugieser Chronograph collection brings together six classically beautiful models that are characterized by their harmonious shape and traditional design elements. The Portugieser Chronograph has been one of the most popular watches from the IWC manufactory in Schaffhausen since the end of the last century. The first Portugieser wristwatch was launched in 1998 and since then various series have appeared that draw on the design of this pioneering model and continue the success story. With a diameter of 40.9 mm, the cases made of fine 18-carat red gold or sturdy stainless steel are suitable for slim and strong wrists.

Harmony and clear shapes

The dials of the IWC Portugieser Chronograph series are characterized by clear design language and classic details. Slim Arabic numerals, tapered hands made of gold, stainless steel or blued steel and two auxiliary dials at twelve and six o'clock structure the harmoniously designed dial, which is either silver-plated, midnight blue or jet black. The circumferential precision scale is both a design element and a part of the precise time measurement. A dark brown alligator leather strap goes perfectly with the red gold case. A blue leather strap was chosen for the version with a silver-plated dial and blue hands. The stainless steel models with a black or silver dial are combined with a black leather strap.

A caliber of the highest precision

The IWC Portugieser Chronograph is powered by a high-quality chronograph movement of the caliber 79350 type. This first-class movement from the IWC think tank is equipped with 31 jewels and offers a power reserve of 44 hours. It drives the exact time display in hours, minutes and seconds as well as the stop function in minutes and seconds. The movement is self-winding and stands for the highest precision. Each kit is carefully assembled by hand by the masters of their trade at IWC. Several quality tests both internally and by external testing institutes confirm the accuracy and quality of the IWC chronographs.
