IWC Portuguese Chronograph Classic
The IWC Portuguese Chronograph Classic collection lives up to its name. The three refreshing models reflect the classic design guidelines of the Portuguese series, which first caused enthusiasm among fans in the 1930s. A traditional ergonomic shape, in which the case flows smoothly into the lugs, gives the watch a classic rounded look. When it came to the choice of materials, the designers from the IWC manufacturer also relied on tried and tested materials by opting for cases made of stainless steel or 18-carat red gold.
A classic reinvented
In this new collection of the IWC Portugieser Chronograph Classic series, there are two models made of stainless steel and one made of red gold. While the red gold version has a silver-plated dial and a brown alligator leather strap, there are two versions of the stainless steel watch. One of the two shines through a silver-plated dial with blued hands and numbers, while the second lets silver hands and numbers shine on a midnight blue dial. Thanks to these contrasts, both models are particularly easy to read. The stainless steel models come with a black alligator leather strap. Overall, classic style is very important in the three models and the watches fit perfectly into the Portuguese family.
Precision thanks to modern technology
In an IWC Portugieser Chronograph Classic wristwatch, an automatic movement in caliber 89361 drives the displays of hours, minutes, seconds and date. In addition, a stop function is set up. The sapphire crystal on the caseback provides an insight into the technology of the movement, which is equipped with 38 jewels and has a power reserve of 48 hours. One of the modern elements built into this delicate caliber is the revolutionary flyback function. The precise chronograph display, the innovative rotor mechanism with four instead of two sophisticated winding latches and the total of over 400 components make this watch movement a technical masterpiece.
