Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer

The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer was launched in 1953 and is the watch for mountaineers. In the same year, it was used during the first ascent of Mount Everest by a research team equipped with Rolex Oyster Perpetual chronometers.

The case of the Rolex Explorer is made of corrosion-resistant 904L stainless steel and has a diameter of 39 mm. It has a fixed, polished bezel and is water resistant to a depth of 100 meters.

The movement of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer is a Rolex manufacture self-winding movement. It has a paramagnetic blue Parachrom Breguet hairspring and a Paraflex anti-shock system.

The watch has the Rolex Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock folding clasp with Easylink.
