TAG Heuer Carrera

The TAG Heuer Carrera was specially developed for racing drivers

With the TAG Heuer Carrera, the Swiss watch company is firmly anchored in racing. The dial of the sporty chronograph is modeled on the dashboard of a racing car. The name of the Tag Heuer Carrera is inspired by what is probably the most dangerous race track in the world, the Carrera Panamericana. The watch was launched in 1964 to meet the special needs of fast sports. To this day, all models of this extraordinary watch follow the basic features of the original from that year.

Timelessly elegant classic

The TAG Heuer Carrera is the first chronograph designed specifically for professional racing drivers. Thanks to its elegant design, it is also a perfect fit for amateur drivers and recreational athletes. The racing driver's watch represents the perfect combination of functionality and fashion. A large dial with luminous hands and special markings ensures that the time is easy to read even in adverse conditions. The folding clasp on the watch's strap has a built-in safety system. This also meets the special requirements of racing drivers and co-pilots for a watch for racing.

The new Carrera models are, like their predecessors, classic three-hand watches. However, their functions are even more powerful. Most models have automatic movements. The classically beautiful dials are protected by scratch-resistant, domed sapphire crystal. The indices on the dial were applied by hand. A fluted crown makes winding the watch easier.

Numerous model variants

The TAG Heuer Carrera has been released in many model variants and special editions over the years. In addition to the basic models, such as the original Carrera, the Carrera Calibre 36, the Carrera Calibre 16 Day-Date or the Carrera Calibre 1, there was the "Grand Carrera" series. The Tag Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 6 RS impresses as a classically elegant model with a case diameter of 40.2 millimeters. The Tag Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 36 RS Caliper was the first chronograph that could also measure tenths of a second and display them on the dial. The TAG Heuer Carrera Mikrograph 1/100th Second Chronograph displays hundredths of a second with a central hand.
