TUDOR HERITAGE BLACK BAY
The TUDOR HERITAGE BLACK BAY model is a tribute to the brand's past and a new interpretation of a model from the 1950s that forever marked the history of the diving watch.
The TUDOR HERITAGE BLACK BAY, launched in 2012, is the latest model in the TUDOR HERITAGE collection. It is like a long-hidden treasure that lies hidden in a bay with a special atmosphere and has now resurfaced.
First presented in 2012 in warm burgundy and chocolate tones, it is now available in a new version in 2014, in midnight blue, cool and edgy, graceful. This new HERITAGE BLACK BAY underlines the origins of the TUDOR Submariner functional watch (1954), which has proven itself on the wrists of divers in some of the world's largest naval forces.
The case of the Black Bay is made of satin-finished and polished stainless steel. It has a unidirectional rotating bezel in stainless steel with a burgundy or matte midnight blue dial and a domed sapphire crystal.
Its imposing screw-down winding crown in stainless steel is reminiscent of a model introduced in 1958 and known among collectors as the "Big Crown". The crown tube is made of colored anodized aluminum with an engraved TUDOR rose. The blue version has a blue crown tube.
It has a diameter of 41 mm and is waterproof to depths of up to 200 meters.
The mechanical movement of the BLACK BAY is the TUDOR caliber 2824 with self-winding and has a power reserve of up to 38 hours.
The watch comes with two straps. A black adjustable, sophisticated woven textile strap with a pin buckle and a second one that is either made of aged leather or it is made of satin and polished stainless steel and has a safety folding clasp.
The elegantly curved dial of the BLACK BAY is decorated with long luminescent applications (bright luminous material) to guarantee perfect readability. The blue version has a deep black dial with silver-colored hour index, silver-colored luminous hands and white luminous material. The red version has a dark chocolate-colored dial with hour index and hands in rose gold with cream-colored luminous material.
