The robust stainless steel case not only ensures incredible water resistance to a depth of up to 1000 meters, but also gives the watch a sporty, elegant design. The clearly legible white numbers on the black dial and the black bezel are very striking. This black version is available in a diameter of 42 mm and 44 mm and can also be chosen in navy blue depending on your taste. The large hands ensure optimal readability even in the dark thanks to the luminous material coating used. The date is pushed into the background compared to the remaining details and has to be read in a small window at the three o'clock position.
The bracelet is also functional in this version. It is made of super sporty rubber and impresses with a single row of relief-edged perforations. However, the Superocean II is particularly special with a diameter of 36 mm. This is also intended to appeal to a female target group who primarily appreciate the sporty chic of this watch. Therefore, this small model is available in black, unlike its big brother, also in white. Both versions are equipped with a Breitling caliber 17 and boast an automatic high-frequency movement.
Overall, Breitling is opening up a new path so that this classic diving watch can be considered by a wider audience.
