Therefore, the date window is now at the six o'clock position instead of the three o'clock position. Clean, clear lines are crucial to the design, which can also be seen on the dials. The lettering “water-resistance” can now be found on the bottom of the case, so that the dial appears cleaner and simpler. At the same time, its base, available in different colors, is finished with the horizontal "teak" grain to evoke the deck planks of a ship, giving the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra a theme and a special touch of nautical flair.
The movement with its delicate components is visible because the case back is made of durable sapphire crystal. The caliber 8900 or 8800, depending on the model, is characterized by high precision and enormous resistance to magnetic fields and vibrations. The transition between the case and bracelet has been revised to improve aesthetics and wearing comfort.
