With the Breitling Navitimer 1 Automatic 38, the Swiss watchmakers are expanding their Navitimer model series. For the first time in their more than sixty-year success story, they are presenting a traditional three-hand watch in the brand family. This is the first time since 1952, the year of its introduction, that a Navitimer is not presented as a chronograph. The case appears graceful with its diameter of 38 millimeters.

Typical watch for pilots

The dial of the Breitling Navitimer 1 Automatic 38 does not have the long-used functions of a chronograph. Nevertheless, the dynamic watch shows all the functions with which the iconic Navitimer series from the traditional Swiss manufacturer Breitling has become famous. These are primarily the typical design of the dial and the traditional shape of the case. The Breitling Navitimer 1 Automatic 38 also relies on the classic slide rule and the typical bezel. No wonder. After all, pilots use these instruments to carry out important calculations.

Elegant variations

The hand for the seconds corresponds to that of a centrally placed chronograph hand. The color variants of the date disc are elegant. On the Breitling Navitimer 1 Automatic 38 models in black and blue, it matches the color of the dial. This looks visually subtle and reserved. On the other hand, the disc for the date on the model with the cream-colored dial is white. This gives the watch an elegant touch.
