With its groundbreaking design, the Omega Speedmaster Gray Side of the Moon "Meteorite" enriches the models in the Speedmaster collection from the traditional Swiss house Omega. Watch lovers appreciate them for their innovative character. Now it comes in a version made of ceramic and gold and with an original piece of space for the wrist.Exceptional dial
The meteorite dial of this Omega Speedmaster was made from a fragment of the Gibeon meteorite. It hit the earth in prehistoric times in what is now Namibia. The Widmannstätten structure is clearly visible on the dial. This is typical of meteoritic material and is caused by very slow cooling. It takes almost a million years for a piece of rock from space to cool down by just one degree. The structure is so unique that it gives each individual Omega Speedmaster Gray Side of the Moon "Meteorite" an unmistakable face.
Innovative design
This watch from the Speedmaster model series is the first piece whose tachymeter scale is made from Omega Ceragold(TM) material. This creates a seamless connection between the ceramic ring and the scale, which is also made of Sedna(TM) gold. The hands and indices of the remarkable watch also shine in the warm, reddish color of 18 carat gold.
A chronograph caliber works in the Omega Speedmaster Gray Side of the Moon "Meteorite". Its automatic winding provides it with a power reserve of 60 hours.
