The Rolex Daytona breathes the spirit of motorsport
Rolex is expanding its Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona model series with three new versions. The certified "superlative chronometers" are now available in 18 carat yellow gold as well as in white and Everose gold. All three watch models of the Rolex Daytona are equipped with the Oysterflex strap. This elastomer strap is reinforced by metal spring leaves. Another feature in addition to the typical Oysterflex -Band is the Cerachrom monoblock tachymeter bezel made of black ceramic.

Developed for motorsport
With the new model variants, the company is continuing the tradition of legendary chronographs. The black bezel, for example, refers to a 1965 Rolex Daytona model that had a black Plexiglas disc. The bezel makes it possible to measure average speeds in categories up to 400 distance units, kilometers per hour or miles. The tachymeter scale is easy to read, scratch-proof and corrosion-resistant.
Innovative caliber
Inside the Rolex Daytona ticks the Perpetual 4130 caliber. The mechanical chronograph movement, like the Oysterflex bracelet, was developed by Rolex and manufactured entirely in its own workshops. It has a self-winding mechanism. The chronograph is activated by a chronograph movement with a vertical clutch and switching mechanism. This ensures an extremely precise and delay-free start when measuring time. The heart of the watch, the oscillator, has been fitted with a blue Parachrom hairspring, for which the company holds a patent. Rolex produces the exclusive alloy itself.
