About the Rolex Day-Date 40 Everose Gold models
The Everose Gold models were launched in 2005 and a very special 18 carat gold alloy had to be produced in the in-house foundry. This is used exclusively for Rolex rose gold watches and was patented specifically for this purpose. This elegant and reddish, shiny rose gold color is used in all models from the Oyster collection.

All Rolex Day-Date 40 Ref. 228235 wristwatches bear the inscriptions “ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL DAY-DATE” and below the hands the inscriptions “SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED”. The typical Rolex crown is also found on every dial of these Rolex Day-Date 40 models.
The case, bracelet, bezel, satin folding clasp and screw-down caseback are made of 18kt Everose gold. All Rolex Day-Date 40 models are equipped with an automatic movement, chronometer with COSC, in-house caliber 3255, shock- and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and fluted bezel. The case diameter is also 40 mm for every Day-Date 40 model. These Rolex Day-Date 40 wristwatches are waterproof up to 10 bar.
