The Officine Panerai Luminor 1950 is a wristwatch series from the Italian brand Officine Panerai Sarl, based in Milan, which belongs to the Geneva-based luxury watch group Compagnie Financiere SA. The brand goes back to the Florence-based watchmaker Giovanni Panerai and his business founded there in 1860. The company, later renamed "Officine Panerai", became famous for its diving watches produced on behalf of the Italian Navy and from 1993 onwards also became known to a wider public.
