  • Every single watch in the Breguet Marine model line represents the highest standard of quality. When you buy a Breguet Marine, you are purchasing an elegant, nautical-inspired watch that embodies traditional values and the finest watchmaking skills. With their perfection, the watches are reminiscent of the legendary watchmaker Louis Abraham Breguet. In 1775 he founded the factory in Paris. Today the company is based in Switzerland.

    Maritime origins

The Breguet Marine collection ties in with the values of the company's founder. As early as 1815, Abraham Louis Breguet was awarded the title of “Watchmaker of the Royal Navy” as a supplier of precise maritime instruments. The traditional company supplied the navy with watches and precision instruments until the 20th century. As a reminder of these glorious times, the Breguet watch company launched its first sports watch collection, Breguet Marine, in 1990.

  • The models were waterproof up to a diving depth of 50 meters. In the following decades, numerous new model variants of the “Marine” watches were created. Every single timepiece in the collection still bears witness to its maritime origins to this day. This is evident, among other things, in the exquisite wave-shaped guilloche decor that adorns the dials of some models. As a stylized motif, the wave also adorns the crowns of watches from the Breguet Marine line.

    Watches for the highest demands

The Breguet Marine 5817 models, among others, impress with maritime elegance and robust features. The cases of these watches have a diameter of 39 millimeters. These timepieces have a sporty appearance with a case made of cool stainless steel. They present themselves elegantly in fine materials such as rose or yellow gold. The hand-guilloche dials feature, among other things, the large date and central seconds or an indicator for the remaining power reserve of the striking mechanism. Traditionally, the time is shown by Breguet hands with a “Pomme” ring tip. All watches in this Breguet Marine series are worn on rubber bracelets, but are also available with stainless steel and gold bracelets.
