The models were waterproof up to a diving depth of 50 meters. In the following decades, numerous new model variants of the “Marine” watches were created. Every single timepiece in the collection still bears witness to its maritime origins to this day. This is evident, among other things, in the exquisite wave-shaped guilloche decor that adorns the dials of some models. As a stylized motif, the wave also adorns the crowns of watches from the Breguet Marine line.
Watches for the highest demands
The Breguet Marine 5817 models, among others, impress with maritime elegance and robust features. The cases of these watches have a diameter of 39 millimeters. These timepieces have a sporty appearance with a case made of cool stainless steel. They present themselves elegantly in fine materials such as rose or yellow gold. The hand-guilloche dials feature, among other things, the large date and central seconds or an indicator for the remaining power reserve of the striking mechanism. Traditionally, the time is shown by Breguet hands with a “Pomme” ring tip. All watches in this Breguet Marine series are worn on rubber bracelets, but are also available with stainless steel and gold bracelets.
