  • A little bit of history

The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Master is not a classic diving watch. It is aimed more at the lifestyle in sophisticated coastal towns. However, its sporty elegance makes the watch a real eye-catcher at any time and any place. The Aqua Terra was introduced in 2002. It pays homage to the classic Seamaster models, which were known for their reliability on land and at sea.

The model series is available in three different housing diameters. While the quartz caliber 4061 works in the 28 model, an Omega Master Co-Axial caliber was installed in the 34 and 38 models. In 1999, Omega released the first watch with a Co-Axial escapement. This escapement reduces internal friction, meaning less oil is needed, which in turn means the watches require less maintenance. This also means that the accuracy of the watches is maintained over a longer period of time.

There are many similarities in the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Master collection. The caseback is made of sapphire crystal in a wave design. It is transparent, which means you can see the caliber underneath at work. Many of the different dials have a so-called teak concept. These are horizontal lines meant to evoke the wooden planks of a luxury ship. With the screw-down crown, the watches are waterproof up to 15 bar.

The model 231.10.34.20.57.002 has a case diameter of 34 mm, which is made of stainless steel. The three-link bracelet is also made of stainless steel and has a double folding clasp. There are 12 diamond indices in rhodium-plated settings on the lavender mother-of-pearl dial. The rhodium-plated hands are coated with Super-LumiNova. The reference 231.20.34.20.55.001 also has a case diameter of 34 mm. The bracelet and case here are made of a combination of 18 K Sedna gold and stainless steel. The mother-of-pearl dial features 12 diamond indices in 18K Sedna gold settings. The hands are also made of this gold. Both watches use the Omega Master Co-Axial caliber 8520, which has a power reserve of 50 hours.

  • Dials in a different way

The 34 models also have the reference 220.10.34.20.02.002, which has a wave-shaped opalescent silver-plated dial. The hands and indices are made of 18K white gold. Another model is the 220.10.34.20.02.001. The dial is the same, but the hands and indices are made of 18K Sedna gold. The reference 220.10.34.20.03.001 comes with a wavy blue dial. Hands and indices are made of 18K Sedna gold. In all three models, the bracelet and case are made of stainless steel.

The 220.10.38.20.02.002 has a 38 mm case diameter. The dial is silver-plated in a wave-shaped opalescent color and has hands and indices made of 18 K Sedna gold. If you like the dial of the watch but want the hands and indices made of 18K white gold, choose the reference 220.10.38.20.02.003. In both models, the case and bracelet are again made entirely of stainless steel. In the watches just mentioned, the 34 and 38 models, the hands and indices are modeled on sailboat hulls.

    Every woman likes diamonds

If you don't want sailboat hull indices, there are also models with diamonds. The 34 model, 220.20.34.20.53.001, has a glossy ocean blue dial. The 11 diamond-set indices are mounted in 18K Sedna gold settings. The case and bracelet are made of stainless steel and the aforementioned gold. The 38 models include the 220.10.38.20.52.001 with an opalescent silver dial or the 220.10.38.20.53.001 with a shimmering blue-gray dial. In the two models, the bracelet and case are made of stainless steel and the diamonds in the dial are set in rhodium-plated settings.

The Omega Master Chronometer caliber 8800 is installed in these models. It builds up a power reserve of up to 55 hours. All watches are equipped with a sapphire crystal and a transparent sapphire crystal back. The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Master have a small date window above the 6 o'clock position.
