The use of the serrated bezel edge, the distinctive, differently shaped hands and the silvery indices instead of numbers are a homage to the previous models in the Superocean series, which has always stood for adventure and the spirit of discovery. The date display can be found at the six o'clock position, while the 12, 9 and 3 are emphasized by stronger indices. Only four small numbers in the outer ring of the dial show the minutes in quarter-hour increments. The Breitling logo, the Breitling lettering and the name Superocean Chronometer can be found in the middle of the dial.
