  • Due to the interplay between the movement, the case and the bezel, this chronograph exemplifies the new generation of wristwatches. The new Yacht-Master has been so well thought out in its application that the different functions can all be operated with one hand. The watch is equipped with a completely new movement, namely the caliber 4160, which is equipped with 360 individual components and is manufactured entirely by the Rolex company. The movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is equipped with a Parachrom Breguet hairspring in blue and a terminal curve that is more than ten times more resistant to shocks and far less sensitive to magnetic fields.

The mechanism of the countdown was made using a vertical clutch and a ratchet wheel. Rolex has achieved an excellent technical achievement in producing this new type of countdown function. The watch can even be used in regattas with different start times. The new Yacht-Master features a Rolex manufacture movement with a perpetual rotor that has a power reserve of approximately 72 hours.

The case has a diameter of 42.6 mm and is made from a solid block of 18 carat, yellow gold or white gold. The Yacht-Master II can be screwed onto a Triplock winding crown, is equipped with crown protection and has two pushers that are aligned on both sides of the winding crown. The start and stop pusher is located at the two o'clock position, triggers the countdown and ends it at the same time. The reset button is located at the four o'clock position and also has the additional functions for programming, synchronizing and setting a countdown.

In short, the Rolex Yacht-Master II is the innovation in the world of wristwatches!

The new Rolex Yacht-Master II in stainless steel, functionality that inspires.

Rolex presented the Yacht-Master II regatta chronograph in stainless steel for the first time at Baselworld 2013. The Rolex Yacht-Master II is already known in yellow gold, white gold and bicolor. The latest of all versions is distinguished by the blue, bi-directional rotating ceramic ring command bezel.

The maritime character is highlighted by a blue bezel, blue hands and a white dial. Rolex also offers a masterpiece in terms of functionality with the Rolex Yacht-Master II reference 116680. It is possible to program a countdown time between ten and one minute using the rotating bezel and crown, which remains intact even after stopping and resetting. It is a luxury watch that was specially developed for regattas, and it is certainly not just water sports enthusiasts who should get their money's worth. Rather, the Rolex watch impresses with its versatility. It can be read under all conditions and impresses with its sporty but also elegant look.

The Rolex Yacht-Master II in steel is a watch that can easily be worn for business under a suit or on vacation on the beach. Simply a watch that can do anything. With its 44 mm diameter, the watch looks large, but not ostentatious. The Yacht-Master II is waterproof up to 100 meters. For this watch, Rolex relies on a Rolex caliber 4161 manufacture movement that was developed entirely in-house. The Rolex Oyster bracelet with safety folding clasp ensures safety and comfort. If necessary, this bracelet can be extended or shortened by 5 mm using the Easylink extension. This can be especially nice in the summer when you want something a little more relaxed. The Rolex Yacht-Master II reference 116680 is an officially COSC-certified Swiss chronometer. Rolex attaches particular importance to the accuracy of its watches, even under difficult conditions. Whether in extreme heat in the desert or in sub-zero temperatures at the North Pole, this Rolex watch will not disappoint you. The watch is also extremely interesting in terms of value retention.

A Rolex watch with sure potential for appreciation.

    Highly functional bezel

The bezel of this extraordinary watch is particularly tailored to the requirements of sailors. The traditional company Rolex is completely redefining the functions of a bezel with the Rolex Yacht-Master II. Originally, this border on the dial had no connection to the interior of the respective watch. The watch manufacturer has eliminated this separation with the ring command bezel of the Rolex Yacht-Master II. The bezel is connected to the watch's manufacture caliber and can thus trigger the countdown. The bezel also impresses with its elaborate design. With a blue ceramic inlay, it creates a connection to the sea. Made from high-quality 950 platinum, it gives the Rolex Yacht-Master II additional exclusivity.

    State-of-the-art movement

Up to 35,000 hours of development work go into the regatta countdown of the Rolex Yacht-Master II. It is part of the caliber 4161 that ticks in the extraordinary watch. The high-precision movement was developed and manufactured entirely in the workshops of the Rolex watch company. There are a total of 360 components in the 4161 caliber. A large number of these components are so small and yet so complex that state-of-the-art technologies are used to produce them. The in-house caliber in the Rolex Yacht-Master II has an automatic self-winding mechanism and impresses with a power reserve of around 72 hours.

    Complexly designed dial

The dial of the Rolex Yacht-Master II conveys a special impression. The display of the regatta chronograph impresses with its clarity. The countdown counter with a red border and the red hand for the seconds stand out in a rich contrast. The graduations on the dial are in ten-minute increments. The precise readability of the time is legendary. The flyback function is perfect. This allows the countdown to be readjusted if it is already running.
